A community gathering organised by the Somali Community of Edmonton Society was held this week in Edmonton.

Families are encouraged to stay involved in their children’s lives, listen to their concerns, and guide them towards positive choices and respect for the law.

Working together with police, civic organisations and state agencies can help keep young people safe and prevent them from becoming involved in crime.

The gathering brought together government representatives, community leaders, and women’s and youth groups, reflecting a shared commitment to our children’s future.

Speakers, including the community chairman and police representative Sgt. Patrick Ruzage, highlighted the importance of strong families, open communication and community cooperation.
